Bobby Oroza expresses his desire for deep things with his second album Get On The Otherside. Well, to start, this new album Get On The Otherside, which quite well describes what Bobby has been through: he had to demolish his ego, his old ways of thinking, and his tried-and-true approaches to ground himself in a renewed perspective with new insights. He did a real job of introspection, accepted what was wrong, and the share of responsibility that fell on him. How does this translate into the new album? Moments of clarity about the true value of life on "I Got Love," encouraging tracks like the title song "The Otherside," and statements about self-realization on "My Place, My Time." Even the most straightforward love songs break new ground lyrically, like "Sweet Agony" and "Loving Body." As expected, the songwriting still has that raw and direct quality, but an evolution has taken place. There are new perspectives on familiar grounds that, according to him, required a broader vision of love. A vision with less ego and more empathy. This record is a message of encouragement for all those who are struggling and see no way out. Bobby Oroza can say a lot with little, and he wants us to know that it is up to us to do the heavy lifting to live a true life of love — both for the world and for ourselves.
