Endless Skyways is the third full-length album by Bobby Lee and his second release on Tompkins Square. Returning to the full-band sound of his first album, the name "Endless Skyways" is borrowed from a line in the song This Land Is Your Land by Woody Guthrie, one of the cornerstones of American music. The blend of earthly awareness ("ribbons of highway") and celestial quality in that song sums up Lee's brand of widescreen cosmic Americana; a duality also evident in the album's split between fried rural rock and ambient country. Dusty boots but a third eye open.
