The song, "Sunny," which has become a true standard over time and whose author and performer, Bobby Hebb, passed away in 2010, is often unknown due to the many covers of this song that became a hit. Trocadero pays tribute to him with this retrospective, celebrating the 50th anniversary of this cult piece. In 1966, the song by this American musician sparked a real enthusiasm from the public. The story of this music is atypical as it was recorded following the death of Bobby Hebb's brother. This tragic event deeply affected the singer as the drama occurred the day after the assassination of John F. Kennedy, in 1963. The song began to become a hit when Bobby Hebb performed it during the Beatles' tour in 1966, in which he participated. Ten years later, in 1976, he decided to record a second, more disco version. Covered many times, and by the greatest artists (more than a hundred versions!), he had disappeared, leaving a long discographic absence since the 70s. In his last album released in 2005, "That's all I wanna know," he performs 13 tracks, all more catchy than the others, including his famous "Sunny" (here in duet with Astrid North).
