Bob Stanley's latest compilation, "Wednesday Morning 6AM," literally takes you back in time. In the late 70s and early 80s, there existed a parallel universe of hits that people only heard when their alarm clock radios went off. BBC Radio 2 had little time for the Top 40 music played by Radio 1 and broadcast in living rooms by Top Of The Pops. Radio 2 effectively created its own chart, airing singles or album tracks that their DJs enjoyed and wanted to share with their listeners. These tracks were played repeatedly in rotation and became guilty pleasures for millions of listeners. "Wednesday Morning 6AM" is the comforting soundtrack to breakfast, driving to school, or working in the cold and darkness of mornings, featuring "99 Miles From LA" by Art Garfunkel, "The Bargain Store" by Dolly Parton, "Evangelina" by Hoyt Axton, "Train In The Distance" by Paul Simon, and "Lost In Love" by Air Supply.
