Formed in Tokyo, the jump blues & swing band, BLOODEST SAXOPHONE has been playing vintage old-school sounds since 1998. The band's leader, Young Corn Shintaro, founded the group with the ambition to "rule the world with the saxophone." Young Corn Shintaro says that "Jump Blues and Swing Jazz bring out the soul of the tenor saxophone, especially when it jumps." The band does not consider itself to be playing old music, but rather as taking a journey back to the time when Illinois Jacquet and Arnett Cobb were around. Their first album "Blood-est" was released in 2003; to date, they have released 12 albums and appeared on 18 compilations. Their music has delighted not only old-school blues/jazz lovers but also fans of rock'n'roll, rockabilly, and mods; the band's fiery performance at the "Mods May Day" event is legendary. At the end of 2018, the band invited singer Crystal Thomas to perform a track on the album "Texas Queens 5," and she later joined them for their tour in Japan & Hong Kong. Since the idea of making a full album was in the air... here it is after 5 years of collaboration.
