Remastered in 2025, the CD contains a live bonus track. Bloodrunner, originally from Illinois, USA, was formed in 2004, at a time when thrash metal was not a fashionable subgenre. Especially in the United States, traditional styles were, unlike today, relegated to the deepest underground. Only already established bands like Anthrax or Slayer, who also flirted with modern influences, could attract attention. But that didn't matter to the brand new Bloodrunner. They wanted to play their favorite music and party! After a demo in 2007, their only album to date, "Total Annihilation", was released in 2008, overflowing with the joy of playing. The less perfect moments are compensated by an unrestrained energy, which is worth more in heavy metal than routine performances. Nevertheless, the musicians, who were very young at the time, already had notable skills and mastered their craft. This also applies to the songwriting, which does not rely solely on constant thrash but also offers variety. Thus, the album is not only suitable for thrash fanatics. The production, with its organic yet powerful sound, is perfectly suited and shows what is often missing from current albums of this genre: sonic authenticity! It was only released at the time as a burned CDR and digitally! "Total Annihilation" was remastered separately for the CD and the LP. The CD contains a live bonus track.
