The highly anticipated debut studio album from the new figure of Polish progressive metal, featuring former members of Behemoth and Katatonia. Available in digipack CD, Deuterium marks the arrival of Blindead 23, the new incarnation of the band led by former Behemoth guitarist Mateusz "Havoc" Smierzchalski, alongside Roger Öjersson (ex-Katatonia) and Pawel "Pavulon" Jaroszewicz (Vltimas, ex-Vader, ex-Decapitated). Following the EP Vanishing and the single "Disposed," the first release with Peaceville Records in 2025, the band refines an identity that blends the sludge and post-metal atmosphere of their early days with massive riffs and hypnotic electronic textures, while maintaining the intensity of their live performances. Recorded in 2023 and meticulously shaped over the years, Deuterium unfolds as a conceptual journey of one hour, oscillating between elevation and melancholy. A dense, immersive, and multi-textured work that establishes Blindead 23 as a new major force in progressive and experimental metal.
