A new album full of urgency! As the world fell under the COVID-19 pandemic, the four members of Black Stone Cherry nested deep in the woods of Kentucky to create their 7th album. There, they could feel the disease spreading as they watched the news, and it became clear that, unfortunately, some of the song lyrics had a visionary quality. The result is 13 essential tracks, fully loaded with emotion. The album was completed just before lockdown, with a premonitory title: The Human Condition. During the recording sessions, there was a real fear and urgency in the outside atmosphere. Each song re-transcribes this experience that we went through. Also in terms of sound, *Human Condition* is the band's most visceral and catchy album to date. After 19 years and 7 albums, the band was keen to prove that they could still blow us away. This album is a bit like a rebirth. For the first time, the band did not record most of it live but meticulously track by track. Each member painstakingly recorded their part to ensure an epic overall performance. The result is explosive, the groove is organic, the riffs are huge, and the choruses illuminate this performance, delivering all the urgency of the moment.
