True to black metal's fiercely individualistic spirit, Roman V. started BIZARREKULT as a solo project. His move to Norway in the late 2000s prompted him to revisit tradition without breaking from it, refining his own dark yet luminous vision of post-black metal. His third studio album, ‘Alt Som Finnes’ ("all that exists"), was born from a desperate quest for meaning. ‘Alt Som Finnes’ retains the classic old-school energy. With its wild riffs and strident screams, it's impossible to escape the feverish intensity of "Drøm." But while BIZARREKULT remains rooted in Norwegian black metal, the album destabilizes by injecting a more pronounced post-metal vibe. "Avmakt" boils and ignites in a fierce struggle for control before fading amidst melodies that die out like dying embers. As with BIZARREKULT's previous two studio efforts, ‘Alt Som Finnes’ was born from a deeply personal crisis. But this time, Roman is not alone in facing his demons. He is joined in his fight by vocalists from Predatory Void, MØL, and Dødheimsgard. To an relentless double bass drum beat, "Blikket Hennes" vibrates with the consuming darkness of a guilty conscience, before Yusaf "Vicotnik" Parvez's clear, soothing voice comforts the listener. Marked by melancholy, the closing track, "Tomhet," innovates by being BIZARREKULT's first track sung in English. "Am I alone like this? No, there are many of us." It's an overwhelming realization, but also a call to everyone to become something greater.
