City lake

Description

2015 reissue: Originating from Brooklyn, Bing & Ruth is a minimalist ensemble led by pianist and composer David Moore. He formed the group in 2006 with several student friends from the prestigious New School in New York. Influenced by artists like Arvo Pärt and Steve Reich, their music often takes time to develop and resembles crystalline and distant atmospheres leading to illuminating massive crescendos. Their first album, City Lake, released in 2010, is a warm and deeply textured album. Through Happy Talk, a fleeting structure created by Moore himself, the album is being re-released today but revised, reinterpreted, and augmented with additional tracks.
