Perfectamundo

Description

The first solo album by the legendary leader of ZZ Top. A legendary master of the six-string guitar, Billy Gibbons is widely regarded as one of America’s finest guitarists working in the blues-rock genre. Concord Records releases Perfectamundo, the first solo album from Gibbons, surrounded by handpicked musicians gathered under the name the BFG's. Perfectamundo stands out, as its title suggests, for its Afro-Cuban flavor, which may surprise some of his fans. But what is forgotten is that even before his first recordings, this immortal of blues-rock/hard-rock studied percussion with a virtuoso in the field: the “Mambo King” Tito Puente, a friend of Billy’s father. An album that reveals the musical genius of Billy F. Gibbons, in an unexpected, refreshing and, fortunately, predictable spirit!
