Two years after his last album Smockaz, Big Red signs with Come Again his new long-format. A title in the form of a program: Come Again marks a return to the roots of Jamaican Reggae. The legendary MC of Raggasonic has, for the occasion, surrounded himself with producer DJ Absurd, who thus signs nine of the ten original productions of the album.
In ten original tracks, complemented by dub versions signed by Waks and DJ Absurd himself, the album explores ten successive variations of this Jamaican heritage, and as many potential future francophone classics for the genre. On finely crafted productions, which testify to DJ Absurd's long-standing passion for roots Reggae and Rocksteady, Big Red unfolds his inimitable flow while highlighting socially engaged lyrics, evoking in turn the place of institutional racism in contemporary society, police violence, or technology.
Behind a coherent guiding aesthetic, Come Again knows how to vary atmospheres and styles. Confirming the album's anchoring in the Jamaican tradition of the 70s/80s, two dub versions complete Come Again in the reverberated echoes of "Nous Sommes" and "Mais Toi".
