Description

Cette jeune chanteuse mélancolique à la voix délicate est une véritable curiosité des années 90. Very inspired by singers like Joni Mitchell or Rickie Lee Jones, she was spotted by ambient music producer William Orbit and drawn into a world quite far removed from the folk of her adolescence. After a few notable collaborations with electronic music groups such as Red Snapper and Chemical Brothers, she recorded this first album, a blend of fairly classic folk ("Don't Need A Reason") and muted trip-hop ("Tangent", "Touch Me With Your Love"), produced by Victor Van Vught (Tindersticks, Nick Cave...) and Andrew Weatherall (Primal Scream) which earned her the esteem of all the critics, then Central Reservation, a second album just as atypical and successful.
