This album features 9 covers majestically highlighted by the dynamic and expressive voice of Beth Hart. From the most delicate and honeyed tones to the highest notes, along with gritty and soulful sounds, her interpretations of the irresistible "Whole Lotta Love," the captivating "Kashmir," the very funky "The Crunge," and the essential "Stairway To Heaven," not to mention the two superb medleys - "Dancing Days/When The Levee Breaks" and "No Quarter/Babe I'm Gonna Leave You Now" - that frame "Black Dog," Beth takes us on a whirlwind of emotions. Beth had already tackled Led Zep before. In May 2004, on the stage of the Paradiso in Amsterdam, she delivered a fiery version of "Whole Lotta Love," a song that regularly returned to her shows up until her memorable performance with Slash on guitar. At the helm of this tribute is producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance) along with various high-profile musicians, including Cavallo himself on guitar, Tim Pierce (Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner) on guitar, Chris Chaney (Rob Zombie, Slash) on bass, Jamie Muhoberac (Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones) on keyboards, Dorian Crozier (Céline Dion, Miley Cyrus, Joe Cocker) and Matt Laug (Alanis Morissette, Alice Cooper) on drums. One voice, THE voice, was the only missing piece in this impressive lineup... Things fell into place when Cavallo was producing Beth Hart's album, "War In My Mind." One day, in the studio, Beth improvised a version of "Whole Lotta Love." The producer then asked her if she wanted to record an entire album dedicated to Led Zep songs, to which she replied, "I can't make such an album. To sing such pieces, you have to want to discuss them, and I've been working for years to channel the rage within me." Then the pandemic hit, bringing all the frustrations of lockdown with it. Beth was then ready to unleash the fury that had been burning inside her. Rob then sent her the music so she could finally tackle this album. Beth Hart will make her grand return to a Parisian stage on July 12, 2022, at La Seine Musicale. In France, her growing success has allowed her to move from New Morning to La Seine Musicale, after having filled La Cigale, Olympia, and Palais des Congrès several times. This return to the Parisian audience promises to be truly magnificent.
