SYMPHONIE N 7

Description

Bernard Haitink was born and studied in Amsterdam. His career as a conductor began at the Dutch Radio, where, in 1957, he became the principal conductor of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. The ties between Bernard Haitink and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra have stood the test of time, even as his career took him around the world. A good example is Berlioz's Damnation of Faust in 1998, later released on CD (CC 72517). He returned on June 15, 2019, when he gave his very last concert in Amsterdam, featuring Bruckner's Symphony No. 7, a work that has always been particularly dear to him.
