On this new album, the artist offers us a journey through more than a century of Italian lyric music in France, highlighting the ties between two great opera nations. Bernheim revisits and performs the masterpieces of Cherubini, Spontini, Donizetti, Verdi, Puccini and Mascagni in French. The artist also presents French versions of famous operas such as 'Madama Butterfly', 'Don Carlos' as well as more rarely heard works such as 'La Favorite' and 'La Fille du Régiment' by Donizetti, 'Jérusalem' and 'Les vêpres siciliennes' by Verdi....
