Here is the first recording of the young German baritone, Benjamin Appl, elected by the British magazine Gramophone "Young Artist of the Year 2016." The soloist, from the famous choir of the Regensburger Domspatzen, has become one of the most notable recitalists of his generation. This is what first captivated Gramophone: his sober and penetrating singing style as well as his stage presence make him more than a promising talent, an artist who is already asserting himself! He therefore dedicates his first album "Heimat" exclusively to the repertoire of his country, which includes, as we know, the most musical pages of the lied.
