Inferno
Description
Behrozd Abduraimov's performances combine great musical depth and phenomenal technique: "He has the magic touch," wrote The Times. This recital is a new illustration of his multiple talents: first with variations by Carl Czerny, a disciple of Beethoven and teacher of Liszt. Then follows the famous Après une lecture de Dante (whose title is borrowed from a poem by Victor Hugo) (1859-1861), from his Année de pèlerinage en Italie. Another era, another poetic inspiration (Verlaine), with the Suite Bergamasque, an allusion to the festivities of the Lombard commedia dell'arte, which Debussy composed between 1890 and 1905... Still the celebration, this time in Saint Petersburg, with "its crowd, its booths and its little traditional theater, the character of the conjurer magician... and the animation of the puppets, Petrushka, his rival and the ballerina," notes Stravinsky, who in 1921 signed a piano transcription of his ballet Petrushka, composed ten years earlier. Brahms and a serene Intermezzo from his Klavierstücke, Op. 119 concludes this infernal program.Buy Inferno at the best price
