To mark their 35-year career, the legendary Japanese band Sigh have re-recorded their 2007 concept album under the title I Saw The World's End - Hangman's Hymn MMXXV, now available on black vinyl. Combining old-school thrash metal and classical orchestrations inspired by German symphonies, this 2025 version benefits from entirely reworked production by Lasse Lammert and masterful performances with Nozomu Wakai (guitar) and Mike Heller (drums). Led by founder Mirai Kawashima, this opus restores the grandeur of a work long considered imperfect. Brutal, symphonic, and flamboyant: an essential work of avant-garde metal.
