The Remembering - Vinyl

Description

Roman Norfleet (Cosmic Tones Research Trio, MerKaBa Brotherhood) and the Be Present Art Group continue their incredible momentum of spiritual and liberating music. Saxophone, keyboards, electronics, a powerful rhythm section and possessed vocals drive tracks such as the first single “Headed On To Freedom”; true swirling sonic journeys that will delight fans of Pharoah Sanders, the Art Ensemble of Chicago and the Sun Ra Arkestra. The Remembering is a sonic libation offered to those who came before us. Drawing on African-American history, revolutionary thought and an unbreakable spirit of resistance, this music weaves connections with the figures, movements and ideas that shaped generations. It pays tribute to the past while carrying its spirit forward in the present.
