Saluted as the heir to Amazonian psychedelic and chicha traditions, as well as a sound innovator, the Peruvian group Bareto mixes exciting versions of cumbia classics with their own unique compositions, in concerts promoted as dance parties.
The album marks the debut of singer Javier Arias in duo with renowned Peruvian figures such as the Creole diva Bartola and the queen of techno-cumbia Rossy War. It also includes the sonero and comedian Melcochita, as well as a group of Colombian guests, including singer María del Rosario Cardona and percussionist Chongo.
Their last two albums of original material, "Ves lo que quieres ver" ("You see what you want to see", 2013) and "Impredecible" ("Unpredictable", 2015), were nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards.
