Si vita si - Digipack

Description

In the open. That is how Barbara Furtuna appears to us on the cover of this third album. From their journeys on island and international stages, through their encounters and prestigious collaborations, the four men have brought back new desires and renewed ambition. Traditional polyphony, of course, still. Yes, but not only that. Barbara Furtuna now allows itself nothing to be off-limits and now welcomes, almost permanently, a fifth member within its ranks: the instrument. The encounter is beautiful and abundant, and the range covered by the many creations is astonishing. So that is what “Si Vita si” is: nothing less than an openly stated desire to embrace past and present, roots and flight, in a single artistic gesture, to invent the future of Corsican popular music. Knowing where one comes from, knowing where one is going and, above all, how one wants to get there: Barbara Furtuna is very much in the image of its island.
