Description

Founded in 1996 by German-Nigerian singer ADE BANTU, his brother ABIODUN ODUKOYA and PATRICE, BANTU is one of the artists to watch, transforming the legacy of KING SUNNY ADÉ and FELA KUTI into the soundtrack of today’s continent. ADE BANTU, known in Germany as the founder and face of the “Brothers Keepers” initiative, is backed by four other singers, a three-piece horn section built perfectly on the extremely versatile rhythm section. The members of BANTU are active with ORLANDO JULIUS, DAVIDO, WIZKID and TEKNO, the group has won awards such as the pan-African Kora Awards and has worked with big names such as UB40, TONY ALLEN, PATRICE and GENTLEMAN. “What Is Your Breaking Point?” is nothing less than a musical sensation with its ten versatile and assertive songs - Afro-Beat, -Funk and -Soul flow together and meet Jazz, Highlife, R'n'B, Hip Hop and Yoruba music, with the often polyphonic vocals referring more than ever to social and political grievances in their home country and around the world.
