William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet

Description

Vinyl reissue of the soundtrack to "Romeo + Juliet," Baz Luhrmann’s film adaptation (Moulin Rouge) of William Shakespeare’s stage tragedy Romeo and Juliet: the most famous love story of all time, set in a rough neighborhood in the United States. In Verona Beach, a district of Los Angeles, the members of the Montaigue and Capulet gangs regularly fight in the streets, and murders are not uncommon. Led by his close friend Mercutio and his cousins, the young and melancholic Romeo, son of the Montaigu godfather, goes to a party given by the Capulets and immediately falls under the spell of their only daughter, Juliet. At the center of the conflict between their two families, Romeo and Juliet swear eternal love to each other, which will end tragically.
