Jackie Brown

Description

Tarantino’s third film after Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown takes audiences by surprise. A languid, soft, and warm atmosphere for this cool, noir, and linear crime film. An integral part of the sophisticated alchemy of the director’s films, the soundtrack revisits, as is often the case with Tarantino, the music of the 1970s. This time colored by African-American rhythms, the selection is sharp and cohesive: Bobby Womack, Randy Crawford, Delfonics, Pam Grier. Not to mention a few outsiders, including the psychedelic Johnny Cash and rapper Foxy Brown. Excerpt from the guide “La Discothèque idéale Fnac” 2016
