The film adaptation of the Broadway musical, Hair remains a monument of hippie culture, a symbol of a dream shared by an entire generation and an emblem of the counterculture of the 60s. This rock musical, released in 1979, would also make film history as the first movie recorded in Dolby Stereo. Considered the best interpretation of Hair, the soundtrack was reworked by Galt MacDermot, who recreated a more rock-oriented harmonization of the songs, with more energetic performances.
