The film is inspired by Eminem's difficult beginnings. For the rapper, heavily involved in the soundtrack, it is a new opportunity to expand his territory. Eminem does not just offer a handful of unreleased tracks, all in line with his recent work. When he is not producing his own tracks, he lends his services to other rappers, and not just any (Jay-Z, in particular). But that's not all. This soundtrack, which features other stars (Nas, Xzibit, Macy Gray, and Rakim), serves as a springboard for the recruits of his brand new label, Shady Records.
