Bad Company (Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs, Boz Burrell & Simon Kirke) was among the best representatives of blues-infused hard rock at their peak in the 70s. This double album documents two shows from 1977 and 1979 respectively. The 1977 concert was recorded at Summit House in Houston, Texas. The title track is a brazenly muscular opener, with Paul Rodgers' impeccable bluesy holler leading the excited sounds of former Mott The Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs. "Morning Sun" proves they could do slow and emotional. The second concert was recorded at the Empire Pool (now Wembley Arena) in London. While "Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy" and "Evil Wind" groove convincingly, it’s the tracks from their self-titled debut album that steal the show in both performances. Bad Company remains a masterclass in atmospheric blues rock, while "Feel Like Makin' Love" and "Shooting Star" are what stadium rock shows were made for.
