Shy, Low are true masters of stark contrasts and extended dynamics, from delicate crescendos to pure riff power; an art form that lies at the heart of every exceptional instrumental rock record. While entirely instrumental, reducing the band's contemporary sound to the term "post-rock" would not do this EP justice: there is far more than just lengthy dramatic builds and bittersweet melodies played by delayed guitars.
