Alongside Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators' Keep Reachin’ Up, Baby Charles' debut album helped define the sound and spirit of the European deep funk scene of the 2000s. Unfortunately, the band broke up in 2011, just before entering the studio to record their highly anticipated second album. Since then, Baby Charles' early recordings have steadily gained popularity, achieving near-mythical status among DJs, collectors, and funk enthusiasts worldwide.
