Two internationally renowned musicians, classical mandolinist Avi Avital and jazz bassist Omer Avital, have joined forces to embark on a quest for their cultural roots. Israeli mandolinist Avi Avital is now among the undisputed masters of his instrument: in concert with the most prestigious orchestras and musicians, he is acclaimed by audiences and the press worldwide for his stunning interpretations of klezmer, baroque music, and especially contemporary classical music, which he declares to love above all. His namesake Omer Avital, bassist and composer based in New York, has earned a reputation as one of the most creative and visionary figures in contemporary jazz.
