Valley Of Jehosaphat - Vinyl

Description

After his legendary 1970s recordings became foundational references for modern reggae, influential musician and producer Augustus Pablo never stopped, over the following two decades, exploring new expressions of his singular sonic universe. Whether deepening his mastery of dub through digital techniques or enriching his instrumental palette through his melodica grooves driven by powerful basslines, the Jamaican pioneer remained an innovator until the end of his life. Released just a few weeks before his untimely passing in 1999, Valley Of Jehosaphat was Augustus Pablo’s final album and stands as a lasting work, like an artist who always remained true to his vision. With production quality far superior to that of the rawer-sounding classics from his early years, the album’s mesmerizing instrumental arrangements resonate with great clarity and capture the full peaceful essence of Pablo’s creativity. Today, Valley Of Jehosaphat is receiving a full vinyl edition for the very first time. Released by Nature Sounds and by Rockers International, relaunched for the occasion, this 2LP edition also includes five bonus tracks showcasing rare Augustus Pablo recordings from the 1990s.
