August Burns Red is an American metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, formed in 2003. The current lineup of the band consists of lead guitarist John Benjamin "JB" Brubaker, rhythm guitarist Brent Rambler, drummer Matt Greiner, lead singer Jake Luhrs, and bassist Dustin Davidson. The band was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2016 in the Best Metal Performance category for the song "Identity" and again in 2018 for the song "Invisible Enemy," taken from Phantom Anthem (2017). August Burns Red has released nine studio albums to date (2023). The new album by AUGUST BURNS RED 'Death Below' will be released in standard CD and limited double vinyl with red-black ink splatter. The magazine Revolver, which featured the band on its cover in 2020, noted that AUGUST BURNS RED "embraces pain so well." This is a truth never more evident than on 'Death Below,' their stunning ninth studio album. Recorded with longtime producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, "Death Below" encompasses all the furious strength of the band's past without sacrificing an ounce of their catchy melodic power.
