When listening to Atomic Ping Pong, gravity is optional and the absurd is the only dialect on board. With the album "Live from the Moumoune," recorded at three concerts in May 2023, the Franco-Canadian band combines pleasure and critical thought and blends flow and collapsology into a complete and warm sound.
From ecology to queer love, including the orbiting of a raccoon in search of new political horizons, the 5 musicians mix a music with multiple influences to create an exhilarating, atomic, and lunar universe. Hypnotic choruses with triple meanings, enveloping synth layers, and explosive bass clarinet mounted on a tentacular pedalboard, each new track is an opportunity to change costumes as well as styles. Between the humor of Philippe Katerine, the groove of Abraham Inc, and the sensitivity of Sages Comme Des Sauvages, Atomic Ping Pong invites the audience to dance on a surreal, political path full of self-mockery.
