Celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2026, the second album by ATHEIST, "Unquestionable Presence", is a monument of progressive metal that fuses the crazy aggression and speed of death and thrash metal with atmospheric and complex rhythmic structures, incredible tempo changes, and a touch of revolutionary jazz for extreme music in 1991. Darkened by the all-too-early passing of bassist Roger Patterson at the age of 22, it was Cynic's bassist, Tony Choy, who lent a hand to complete this masterpiece, inducted into the "Hall Of Fame" of Decibel magazine in 2005.
