Here is the story of four fantastic individuals. It is said that they are extraordinary, as they take their songs far from the beaten path. Yohann, Stanislas, Aurélien, and Kévin are between nineteen and twenty-four years old. They are writers. They are adventurers. They are talented and ultra-sensitive. They are also autistic. Without sheet music, relying on intuition, they form the heart of a musical group whose lyrics play with what people might say. Why? Because they don’t always communicate like the rest of us. Because they sometimes exist like islands: too isolated. And because they warm themselves with the finely crafted glazes of poetry. Together, in harmony with a group of eager musicians, they produce a stunning post-rock alchemy: Astéréotypie. The story begins in 2010, when educators Christophe Lhuillier and Claire Mahé start a writing workshop with the boys. In their specialized institute in Bourg-la-Reine, words burst forth. Texts take shape. Stories are woven and revealed. It’s not easy to talk about oneself when one is not always comfortable with oneself. This second album, co-produced by the label Air Rytmo (founded by Moriarty), is written, composed, recorded, and mixed. This music is called "L’Energie positive des Dieux." A bombshell: about ten raw and finely crafted tracks shaped by experience. In these rhythmic songs, the artists of Astéréotypie speak to us about the taste of life and their illness, about airbuses and buses, about fights and pills, about passion and illusions. All sorts of things that also tell us the reasons for our own alienations. Collectively, they roar their volcanic life on sheets of punk paper and microphones eager for slam. And then: six strings that paint time, electric bass lines, "fire-blowing" instruments, drums with emotional skins! We find the voices of Yohann, Stanislas, Aurélien, and Kévin, self-taught musicians who play the piano, percussion, and even the accordion of their educator Claire Mahé. And of course, a part of their mentors, loyal and whimsical: Benoit Guivarc’h on synthesizers and organ, the indispensable Christophe L’Hullier on electric guitar, Arthur B. Gillette on bass, Eric Dubessay and Emiko Ota on drums and cymbals.
