Description

Ash Walker's third album, 'Aquamarine,' is an astral shower of rhythms and vibes. The musician's production habits are equally exploratory: his travels have taken him far and wide, from tunnels beneath the Thames to recording local percussionists in Morocco's Atlas Mountains. 'Aquamarine' is a projection and the culmination of everything Ash Walker has absorbed throughout his life and travels. A cosmic explosion of sounds and colors, rhythms, shapes, and patterns. It’s the liftoff of an auditory spaceship, a sound discovered in the grooves of thousands of records, brought together as one. On this new album, Ash Walker is joined by Yazz Ahmed, the trumpet and flugelhorn genius, bassist Marc Cyril (Keziah Jones, Jr Walker & The All Stars), and renowned musician and producer Jonathan Shorten.
