Just as Stax had Booker T, Tricatel had its backing band, AS Dragon. On the road with Burgalat and Houellebecq, in the studio remixing Depeche Mode or accompanying April March, these explosive musicians encountered a spark: Natasha, an androgynous dancer trained by Martha Graham. In the early 2000s, they would shake up all the codes of French rock, mixing northern soul, torrid funk, synthesizers, and Baudelaire's poems. This debut album, which shattered the clichés of the "rock comeback," foreshadowed Gossip and others.
