Villa Rose

Description

Villa Rose is the 2nd EP by Xam, set to be released on September 18, 2026. He arranges and produces this record with Clément Doumic from Feu! Chatterton. It begins with a teenage song reminiscent of the rock revival period of the 2000s. A young man heads to high school, stopping to pick up his best friend who lives at "Villa Rose," but he secretly loves her. He has his head in the clouds and doesn't know how to go about confessing his feelings. With his heart in suspense, she is the source of all his troubles. The rest of the EP tells the story of the young man's romantic misadventures over the following years. Villa Rose was recorded at Red House Studio with the team of musicians (guitar, bass, drums, cello, organ) who accompany Xam live. Belgian singer Antoine Delie joins Xam for a duet on the track Split Screen. This EP came to life thanks to the Fonds Régnier for creation and its Summer Chance program. The launch party for Villa Rose will take place at La Boule Noire on September 23, 2026, in Paris.
