Before Death Church, the first two EPs by Rudimentary Peni laid the groundwork for a musical language that would leave a lasting mark on British anarcho-punk with its speed, rhythmic breaks, and the graphic universe of Nick Blinko. Initially compiled in 1987 on the Corpus Christi label, The E.P.'s Of R.P. brings together the band's first EP, recorded in 1981 at Street Level Studios, as well as Farce, released the following year by Crass Records with John Loder on sound engineering and Penny Rimbaud on production. The twenty-three tracks condense a writing style that is both concise and unique, where punk rage intertwines with oblique melodies, pervasive dark humor, and lyrics of rare intensity. Officially reissued in 2026 by Sealed Records after decades of unavailability and numerous bootleg pressings, this edition also faithfully reproduces Nick Blinko's abundant graphic work with a faithful reproduction of the cover, complemented by a printed inner sleeve and a booklet.
