Description

Gilla Band follow no set path, and have never needed one. For more than a decade, the Dublin quartet formed by Dara Kiely (vocals), Alan Duggan Borges (guitar), Daniel Fox (bass) and Adam Faulkner (drums) has pushed the boundaries of contemporary rock, blending post-punk, noise and electronics with singular radicalism. After Most Normal (2022), their third album, the band entered a period of open-ended exploration, with no defined destination. For four years, each member has filled this suspended time through personal projects. From this fertile dispersion came Pugnello, a record of recomposition and collision. Individual influences gather here in a direct return, where the band’s organic tension confronts a more controlled electronic turn. Between rupture and continuity, Gilla Band redefine their language once again, refusing any form of repetition and confirming their status as an unpredictable and essential entity.
