No Hard Feelings

Description

Born from a period of depression, grief, and insomnia, “No Hard Feelings” sees Quentin Sauvé turn some of his darkest years into his most open and ambitious album to date. Known both as a solo songwriter and as a member of the French hardcore trio Birds In Row, Sauvé moves away from the stripped-down intimacy of his earlier work, wrapping his fragile indie-folk lyrics in rich, full arrangements. Written from early 2024, including two songs born during a songwriting workshop with Adrianne Lenker (Big Thief), the album explores loss, broken relationships, forgiveness, and the difficult process of letting go. Moving yet filled with warmth, “No Hard Feelings” recalls the emotional sincerity of Adrianne Lenker, Bon Iver, Cat Power and Townes Van Zandt: deeply personal songs transformed into a generous and universal work. Letting go, but never giving up.
