With their sixth studio album, *Motiv und Tempo* ("Motif and Tempo"), the band Felsenreich adds a new musical facet to their discography while remaining true to themselves. After the richly arranged albums of their early days, the trio (Sohn, Schaller, Wesely) this time favors stripped-down song structures, occasionally evoking post-punk or new wave. Nevertheless, the band continues to rely on the striking and unique melodies that define their signature, supported by expansive guitars, airy keyboard sounds, and a sober vocal delivery. To assist them, they enlisted musicians from the cult wave band "Escape With Romeo" at Highline Studio in Munich; the drummer of this formation, Frenzy Erl, has once again taken on the role of producer. Felsenreich weaves these melodies around a recurring theme: the perspective on the past, as well as the clarity and strength that arise from it to make the present bearable despite the trials — a true message of encouragement! It is precisely this "motif" that will accompany the listener to the rhythm of our times.
