Mahre

Description

Formed in Geneva in 2006, the Swiss extreme metal band Rorcal celebrates its twenty years of existence with Mahre, its seventh studio album. Drawing inspiration from doom, black metal, industrial and drone, this quintet has spent twenty years exploring ever more hostile and uncompromising musical territories. With Mahre, Rorcal plunges into a nightmarish world where dreams behave like infectious agents, spreading from sleeper to sleeper until reality itself begins to dissolve. Shadows become moons, moons become demons, and decay unfolds in an endless labyrinth from which no one can awaken. Monolithic heaviness, dissonance and ritual darkness collide in an album that deals with contamination, loss of perception and the terrifying possibility that morning may be just another form of night.
