Inflatable Graveyard Volume 2

Description

With Inflatable Graveyard Vol. 2, Tropical Fuck Storm returns to the live album with a follow-up to Fairyland Codex, recorded during three sold-out nights at TV Eye in New York. The Australian band from Melbourne, formed by Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin of the Drones, captures here all the unpredictable power of its concerts. Sharpened by months of touring, the tracks from Fairyland Codex are stretched and reinvented, gaining in intensity and freedom. “Stepping on a Rake” takes on new tensions, “Irukandji Syndrome” soars into a wild guitar solo, and “Moscovium” becomes more urgent than ever. The band also revisits “Who’s My Eugene” and “You Let My Tyres Down,” two tracks from its repertoire, as well as a cover of “This Perfect Day” by the Saints. The album thus extends the excellent reception of Fairyland Codex, praised in particular by The Rough Trade and The Needle Drop. Between psychedelic rock, punk, and sonic experimentation, Tropical Fuck Storm confirms that it is on stage that their music reveals its full chaotic and explosive dimension.
