Edge Conditions

Description

Edge Conditions offers a new approach to Jeremiah Chiu’s rhythmic electronic music. His album Electric Time, released in 2023 and recorded at the Vintage Synth Museum in Los Angeles, had already offered a glimpse of his solo artistic approach and style, quickly becoming a fan favorite. This new release marks a decisive turning point. After two ambient-tinged duo albums with Marta Sofia Honer and two improvised trance-jazz records with the Los Angeles quintet SML, Edge Conditions plunges Chiu into a world of complex, layered rhythms, sometimes danceable, sometimes soothing, in the vein of the classics by Four Tet or Aphex Twin.
