Cosmic Cowgirls & Female Outlaws 1951-1979

Description

A love letter to the lonely and fearless women of the past, who paved the way for bold female musicians in a dark, male-dominated musical landscape. A collection of psychedelic and acid country-folk tracks, powerful and uncompromising, that plunge us into their mystical thoughts, their strength and their love of nature in all its splendor. They are the frontier enchantresses, creating sensual and striking songs that still resonate today. Saddle up your mount, put on a Stetson, and let these wandering souls guide you into the heart of the wilderness. Two Piers teams up with Hackney-based record store Stranger Than Paradise to bring you Cosmic Cowgirls & Female Outlaws 1951-1979, following on from Stranger Than Paradise’s acclaimed SEX Boutique jukebox compilation series.
