Chemins Qui Montent : Live 2024

Description

Les Chemins qui montent extends Amel Brahim-Djelloul’s first album devoted to Kabyle repertoires by giving it a new orchestral scope. Thomas Keck signs the arrangements of songs by Idir, Djamel Allam, Djurdjura or Taos Amrouche, as well as the musical setting of texts by the poet Rezki Rabia. Carried by Benjamin Levy and the Orchestre national de Cannes, the album presents these songs in a new light, thanks to work on timbre, the phrasing of the languages and rhythm. The whole reveals the timeless strength of a repertoire that fully belongs in the symphonic concert hall.
