Description

Philip Moore is a prolific British composer who served as organist and master of music at York Minster for twenty-five years. Before moving to York, he worked at Guildford Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, and Eton College. He left his position at York Minster in 2008 and was appointed organist emeritus. The Archbishop of York awarded him the Order of Saint William. Moore's sacred choral music enjoys immense popularity among church choirs worldwide. This recording features several works written specifically for the choir of St Albans Cathedral and also includes five world premiere recordings.
