Description

Number of items: 1||SIGNUM REGIS, founded in 2007, embodies the essence of melodic power metal, blending progressive and symphonic elements. Their new album, “Beyond Spacetime,” will be released on October 9 via Fireflash Records and will feature different singers. Among them are their current singer Mayo Petranen, who has just returned to the band, his predecessor Jota Fortinho, as well as prestigious names such as Ripper Owens (ex-JUDAS PRIEST), Matt Smith (THEOCRACY), Ralf Scheepers (PRIMAL FEAR), Johnny Gioeli (HARDLINE, AXEL RUDI PELL), Tasos Lazaris (STEEL ARCTUS, WHITE WIZZARD), David Åkesson (SYMPHONITY, QUANTICE), and Victor Smolski (ALMANAC, ex-RAGE), who performed a guitar solo on the first single “Throne Of Gold”.||||“We are very satisfied and proud of this album! Even though the last three years have not been easy for the band, this is not just another Signum Regis album. We are a band that always aims to create something special - for us and for our fans,” says guitarist Filip Koluš, who also mixed and produced the album. Final mastering was handled by Miro Kiiski (BEAST IN BLACK, HYPOCRISY, among others), a perfect choice.||||“Beyond Spacetime” is full of diversity. You will find catchy power metal anthems, epic and progressive tracks, powerful songs, neo-classical compositions and beautiful ballads. All these voices blend together perfectly, although that was not planned from the start. SIGNUM REGIS has always been associated with fantasy, legend and myth lyrics. With “Beyond Spacetime,” they go even further, exploring space and time. “Just like with the music, we pushed the boundaries with the lyrics. On “Beyond Spacetime,” they reflect both personal and universal experiences. You will certainly find some of the boldest and most introspective lyrics ever written on our albums,” explains Tommy König, who contributed to the lyrics.||||The album is also accompanied by a superb artwork by Uwe Jarling, known for his work with bands such as HEAVEN’S GATE, GRAVE DIGGER or more recently FRONT ROW WARRIORS. “The result is incredible! We are definitely a band that considers artwork to be a very important part of our artistic vision. Over the years, this approach has only grown stronger, making it essential to work with a true cover artist,” adds Tommy.||||SIGNUM REGIS will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. “Beyond Spacetime” already feels like a retrospective journey through their past, present and future. “We grew up with the values of traditional melodic metal - that focus will probably never change,” concludes Filip Koluš, adding: “At the same time, we are also a band of great friends, sharing a common goal: to create the best quality metal music together.”
